Universidad Alejandro de Humboldt was called in account of Alexander von Humboldt German naturalist and explorer. UAH is a Venezuelan clandestine university sponsored by the Civil Association Educational Humboldt, created by the National University Council in Resolution No. 28 of 25 July 1997 and accustomed in its operation by Presidential Decree No. 2.225 of December 1, 1997.
UAH offers six bachelor's amount programs and two Engineer's amount programs accepted as an Engineer Authority (abbreviated Dipl. Ing. or DI) Engineering apprenticeship including eight authority programs and two masters amount programs (MBA) through its three schools.
Research is conducted aural the alone colleges. Major interdisciplinary analysis thrusts include:

Systems engineering; and robotics.
